Tooth-Colored Dental Fillings
Because they can be bonded to teeth, composite dental fillings allow for more conservative preparations where less healthy tooth structure is removed. This often results in smaller, more natural-looking fillings than amalgam (silver) fillings. The tooth-colored material is cured with a special light then shaped and polished to match the rest of the tooth, resulting in a restoration that is virtually undetectable to the eye and very natural feeling in the mouth.
